Pete smiled when Xander leaned on him. He found it cute that he thought that it was the vodka. Pete guessed that it wasn't, he really liked Xander and hopefully it wasn't the alcohol talking for him. Pete knew that Xander was studying the crowd around them. Pete knew that the other vampires looked different to Xander. They did to all humans. The humans were either under a trance or were here on their own free will. More than likely, Trance. Not many humans would come to this play under their free will, but some still did.
Pete watched as Xander lingered before joining him. He hoped that he wouldn't stray to far, he didn't want Xander to find out that he was a vampire the hard way. That wouldn't turn out good. Pete smiled at Xander as he thanked him for the red bull. It was nothing. All vampires didn't have to pay a lot, they helped run the business.
"The back rooms, maybe? I'm getting a bit of a headache from all the music.."
Pete smiled and led Xander through the crowd on the dance floor leading to the back rooms. "Of course, what you wish" Pete said as they were nearing the private rooms. He smiled as soon as they got to the hall that led to all the private rooms, he smiled. "Pick it" he said calmly. He had met with other races here in a matter of a majority of the rooms. They were usually all the same.
Xander followed Pete closely as he led him away from the main area, conscious of people in the crowd watching him. He supposed that it was because he was with Pete; why Pete was so important, he had yet to find out. However, he had seen a flicker of fear in the other man's eyes, the guy who was talking to Pete earlier. The black-haired boy certainly was more interesting than he had previously thought. The crowd also seemed to almost part in front of the duo, like Pete was Moses in front of a Biblical ocean, waving his staff around.
Soon, they had cleared the crowd and entered a long, dimly lit corridor. The crimson walls glowed slightly in the soft lighting, each door carved out of dark ebony wood. The number plates on each was a polished silver, and a soft red light was emitting from a small light above some doors; he guessed that these were the rooms that were occupied.
Walking down the mahogany-floored hall, he stopped in front of an unoccupied room - the last one, in fact. A small star was engraved on the handle, which was made of the same wood as the door. Why not silver? he wondered vaguely, laying one small hand on the handle. "This one?" Xander asked, turning to face Pete, his teal eyes focused on Pete's crimson ones.
Pete watched as all the vampires moved out of the way of him. The other vampires were wary of him. He could get Mira to kill any of them, or he'd just do it himself. He was second in command in this city. With Brookelle being third. But she wouldn't use power, she was more of a play toy. She didn't really fight, but she was also a model vampire. Only hunting when hungry, and never killing.
Pete smiled as he went down to the last door. The usual meeting room of the entire races. It was also the biggest room. Pete walked past the other rooms that were taken, most likely by vampires feeding. This was the hot spot for vampires to feed, the next was the city. Pete smiled as he leaned more towards Xander and opened the door.
He led Xander into the room, before sitting down on one of the many couches in the room. "So what do you want to know about me?" Pete asked as he leaned his elbows on his knees, looking towards Xander. He wanted to know what Xander wanted to know, instead of just unleashing a bunch of truths onto Xander at one time.
