Alexandra was practicing in the woods. She was still trying to learn new magic, but still to no avail. She didn't understand why other witches could do other spells but she couldn't. She guessed that it was just because she was trying to teach herself. She knew that eventually she would have to try and find someone else to teach her, but she didn't know any others. She just knew that there were others. But how could one now know that there were others figuring that the town was growing rampant with vampires.
She tried once more to attack a tree but to no avail once more. She leaned against the tree. She was growing tired. She didn't know how long she had been out there practicing, and still not getting anywhere. She slowly dropped to sitting. She leaned her head against her knees. She didn't understand what she was doing wrong. She had been in this meadow a few weeks before when she had ran into a lycan, or well that's what she thought she was.
They had only met each other for a few seconds because Alex got worried and tried to use offensive magic against her, and she obviously failed at it. But she had run off after wards. They both hadn't seen each other since, but it wasn't like Alex was trying to. She was perfectly content staying away from anything that would harm her. Although she was very attentive she still missed some things. She heard some sticks break behind her. She hoped that the tree was hiding her entire body, because by now they were too close for her to run.
She pulled her legs in closer, hoping that they wouldn't hear or see her move. She heard them move in front of her, she was now wondering when they passed her, and if they had seen her. She didn't move her head up to see. She was just hoping for the best, because if it was a vampire, and they were out here hunting, she was screwed, but she would be able to heal herself after wards. That was her looking on the bright side.

The forest...
Ffaenon's eyes ran back and forth across the tree-line, nose and ears twitching tentatively as his brain poured over the fleeting sensations of distant magic he was picking up from beyond the trees. He sensed frustration, chaos in some form or another. Nothing in nature held such feelings in such a conspicuous manner; It had to be a human out there... Perhaps he had assumed that overmuch lately. Was it worth looking into? For a few moments, he merely stared off into the trees, listening and silently sifting the matter in his mind; the presence was... female, he would guess. It was difficult to judge from this distance, but male energy was more direct, less tentative that what he was feeling. It might be a little odd walking in on a girl's alone time... An odd, thoughtful expression crossed his face. but if that is really magic, I've got to see.
So his form, stiffened almost in mid-step from the moment he had felt this energy, lax and turned toward the brush off the edge of his path, his own magical presence snuffed in favor of an inconspicuous approach. Wary of the forest floor, his feet rolled gently and silently across the softened undergrowth, weight gliding across bent knees even as his posture remained upright. He had become very familiar with the techniques of walking silently; it seemed a shame he didn't get to implement them very often. Eyes still focused forward, he felt the flow of magic ahead grow dim and silent; he was much closer now, enough to see a flicker of color between the trees as he moved. His own earth magic would seethe over his presence; he would not disappear, no. His form would show as plainly as day, but he would not be seen nor sensed as long as he upheld this veil. It wasn't easy to concentrate and still pay attention to his movements, but he could let himself relax as soon as he found a stationary shelter.
It wasn't until he was almost upon her, mere feet from where he wished to stop, when his multitasking blundered. He had already managed a glance at her: teenage, thin, long blonde hair. He couldn't see her face, but he had made his way around and behind her perch when a fallen branch snapped beneath his feet. The girl's energies immediately tightened in surprise, perhaps even fear; Ffaenon's expression sank as he considered what he'd found. Was this a fledgling caster? or was the rising and falling of energies he'd felt at the distance merely the signs of an emotional outlet? Slowly, the veil around his body ebbed and faded, leaving him exposed for all the forest to see. "It's alright..." His voice was calm, but tinged with the essence of what might have been disappointment. He stepped out from behind the tree that stood between them as he spoke. "It's not really safe to be out here all by yourself, though..."
