Bruce sat at the same booth, at the same bar, for the last three months. Mira had broken off the wedding and he was still devastated and heartbroken. The only friends he had were the empty bottles in front of him and the bottles lying around his home. He had passed his leadership off to another wolf temporarily so he could spend more time drowning what was left of his soul. He had been trying his best to get rid of the memories of the past years. His "friends" tried to hep him, but all they wer to him were a group of strangers that didn't care if he lived or died. All the wanted was his leadership role so they could run the werewolf community their way. But that was to be expected, one of the reasons he never really liked the leadership job.
Sighing, he stood up and walked back to the bar. "Another bottle please." Bruce pulled out some money and paid for it before sitting back at his booth and taking the cap off. He was just about to take a swig when someone walked though the doors that caught his eye.

Brookelle had been told by her friends to meet her here. She didn't know why, nor did she care. Brookelle walked in and didn't see any of her friends here. Great! They made her go to Fangtasia for no reason. She passed quite a bit of people, and walked up to the bar. She smiled at the bar tender, knowing that by the end of the night, she could get whatever she wanted. Being a tease and a flirt, along with having basically all guys attracted to her worked its bonuses. She sighed as she just took her energy drink. Being that she didn't come in with a human boy, and all the other humans usually stayed with their vampires, she didn't want to have to feed, and be caught without one. That would have been bad.
She turned around and faced the booth. Noticing a werewolf was there, and drinking heavily at that. She smiled at him. While her attention was drawn to the vampires and humans dancing on the dance floor. Most Werewolves weren't here at this time. She began to wonder why he was. She wanted him to make a move. She never would make the first move. Why bother, guys were so fun to play with. She took a small drink of her energy drink and moved towards the dance floor. Making sure that she walked past the werewolf in the process. She didn't hate werewolves, they were just another race. Although last thing she wanted to do was get caught near one when a Naturi came near. She couldn't trust them then, well no one could. The naturi would control them.

Bruce watched as the woman, a vampire, walked toward the dance floor. To say she was beautiful was an understatement. She was absolutely breath taking, though something told him that she used that to her advantage. Realy it didn't concern him. Sighing, he stayed seated and took a swig from the bottle, feeling his throat warm as the liquor worked it's way down. He was conflicted on whether or not to follow and ask if she would like to dance. One side told him to find Mira, but he knew that she wouldn't want to pick their relationship back up. Another side told him to finish the bottle and leave. The last side told him to get off his lazy ass and ask her to dance.
Looking over to the dance floor, Bruce immediately spotted the vampire. "Come on Bruce. It's been three months, it's time to get back out there." He said to himself. Taking one last swig from his bottle, Bruce stood up and made his way to the vampire. He had to push past several other vampires and their meals to get to the dance floor. Once there he slowly pushed his way through the crowd to the vampire he was looking for. "Excuse me mis, but would you care to dance?"

Brookelle smiled as she passed the werewolf and made her way onto the dance floor. Her beauty had also attracted a few vampires. They wanted her. She being bashful denied being beautiful. She didn't want them. They could be good play toys, but they were like every other vampire. Cruel, and Evil. Not afraid to kill, while if she killed, she'd basically go crazy. She couldn't even think about it without getting chills. She was trying to move away from all the guys before she had a bunch of humans coming after her. The guys had left their humans for her. She giggled slighyly. The vampires always warned their humans to stay close. Needless to say, it was them this time that didn't listen.
Brookelle noticed that the werewolf was making his way onto the dance floor. Pushing through couples of vampires and humans. Brookelle was happy that they had recently restricted feeding to specifically the back rooms. Otherwise she would have been disgusted seeing so many vampires feed on humans. Every so ofter you would see a vampire lead a human to a back room and come out about ten to twenty minutes later, the vampire more tan, and the human more pale.
She then heard the werewolf behind her. He was asking her to dance. How cute. She thought. She turned and smiled at the werewolf. He knew what she was, and she knew what he was. Yet he was still asking. That was rather odd. Not many werewolves liked vampires, but then again, not many vampires liked werewolves. She nodded her head. She didn't want to talk yet. She's let him wait to hear her voice

Bruce was happy yet surprised when she nodded her head. He smiled warmy to her as he lightly grabbed her hand and lead her to the dance floor. If he hadn't already been in a relationship with a vampire, he might have felt a little embarrased and out of place. Every head seemed to turn to Bruce and the vampire he was leading onto the floor. Not very often did these creatures see a werewolf and a vampire together. He remembered the outraged werewolves under him when he was with Mira, but he didn't care. The heart wantd what the heart wanted, whether it was a werewolf, human, warlock, or a vampire. Hell he could even undersand if someone fell in love with a naturi, though he didn't like them very much since he had been fighting them almost non-stop, but he could understand none the less.
Stopping in the middle of the floor, he turned around and faced the vampire as a slow song started to play. Keeping the warm smile on his face, Bruce held one of her hands an placed the other on her waist lightly and sway with the music. "I'm Bruce and I'm sure you already know what I am. I know what you are, but you seem different than most vampires i've seen." He wasn't going to ask her name just yet. He wanted to try and have a small coversation first.

Brookelle blushed as everyone was now staring at the two. This was odd to them. Needless to say, it was to her too. She didn't mind the other races, she just didn't interact with them often. She liked his smiled, it was rather cute. She smiled back as he took her hand, it was rather warm in her hand, but that could be that she was just cold to the touch, most vampires were unless they had just fed, and she hadn't fed in well over a week. Which reminded her that she needed to feed soon. Whether she wanted to or not.
She blushed even more when he brought her out to the middle of the floor just as a slow song came on. She put on hand down to his waist and the other was still in his hand. She swayed to the music with him. She looked up as he began to talk, "I'm Bruce and I'm sure you already know what I am. I know what you are, but you seem different than most vampires I've seen." Brookelle smiled. "Hello Bruce" she said smiling. "I'm Brookelle" she said softly. She knew he was a werewolf, and just confirmed that he knew what she was.

"Hello Bruce. I'm Brookelle." Her voice sounded like a piece of heaven, or whatever afterlife there may be. He liked it, of course the only voices he heard these days were his own and the bartenders. Quit thinking bout that. This is a fresh start, a clean slate. So use it right and dont fuck this up. His mind shouted at him. Turning his attention to something else besides his thoughts, he felt how cold she was. That wasn't a good thing for a vampire, he knew that meant that they havent fed in a while. Looking into her eyes, he could tell that she was hungry. But that was pushed ot of his mind as he saw there beauty as well. Suddenly he started feeling butterflies in his stomach, something that hasn't happened to him ever. "Nice to meet you Brookelle."
He wantd to say something about her being cold and hungry, but what could he do? Offer some of your blood idiot! He wanted to, but he wasn't sure if vampires could drink werewolf blood. Keeping eye contact, he felt one of his knees start to shake. Deciding to offer his help, Bruce spoke again. "I can tell that you haven't fed in awhile. If you would like, you can feed on me or I can put some blood in a glass for you." He offered his blood, something he never did for Mira. He never had to for her either, but here he was offering it to a vampire he had just met.

Brookelle smiled at him. She knew that he had spent a good deal of his time drinking, just by the amount of bottles left on the table when she had entered Fangtasia. She wasn't use to being near other races. Mostly to vampires and humans. That was the normal vampire interactions. Brookelle blushed as he talked to her again. She loved his voice. It was something else, something she wasn't used to. "Its nice to meet you too" she said softly, while continuing the dance.
Brookelle could tell that he knew that she hadn't fed in a while. It didn't seem that being with a Vampire was new to him. It seemed like he was use to it. She was not. She hadn't even been this close to a werewolf before, let alone touched one. She had been close, to the point where she would be with any other race, as long as they were in the bar. Her main focus was always the vampires. To her, staying in her own race was what they were brought up on. Nothing could change that. There had been rumors that Mira had gone out with a werewolf, but ended it after a huge fight.
"I can tell that you haven't fed in awhile. If you would like, you can feed on me or I can put some blood in a glass for you." He was offering to give her his blood. She hadn't thought about that. But.... But.... But I couldn't" she stuttered out. She had just met him, she didn't want to bite him, or even feed off of him, it didn't seem right. She didn't want to treat him like vampires treat humans.

"But.... But.... But I couldn't"” Bruce expected this answer. He kept gazing into her eyes, it was amazing what you could tel just by looking into one’s eyes. It showed what their true intentions, feelings, and personality were like. ”I can tell by looking into your eyes that you don’t like feeding on humans. I’m offering my blood voluntarily, but the choice is up to you. Either take my blood or feed on someone.” Bruce said thoughtfully. He knew he was pushing the issue, but he had fought vampires for so long and was engaged to one at the same time. Bruce sighed inwardly as he heard the song come to an end, but it was quickly replaced by another slow song. He continued to dance with Brookelle through the minor pause between the songs. He didn’t want to stop dancing with her, even though he hated dancing. The only ways he would stop would be if she wanted him to or if she took him up on his offer.

Brookelle looking into his eyes. She knew that he thought that was the answer he was going to get. Of course it was. How could she do that to him. She hated doing it to humans, let alone someone else. The humans were usually strangers, she didn't know them, she knew him. ”I can tell by looking into your eyes that you don’t like feeding on humans. I’m offering my blood voluntarily, but the choice is up to you. Either take my blood or feed on someone.” She sighed. He was right. She didn't like feeding off of someone. She had to. Survival. That's all that mattered right?
She didn't want to. "I don't want to hurt you" she said quietly. She didn't care if she hurt some random stranger. Harsh but true. They were just that strangers. Not someone that she actually had talked to. Some people would even feed off of humans that they know and talked to. Brookelle looked down. She didn't want him to look at her. "Your right. I don't like feeding off of people, but I must to survive. She didn't look up. She didn't want to. She hated what she was, she couldn't change it, she couldn't have stopped it either. Stupid no good guys trying to show her that they were stronger... Well guess what. They were.

"I don't want to hurt you. Your right. I don't like feeding off of people, but I must to survive.” Bruce knew what she was talking about, many times he did what was necessary to survive himself. Many of those things he regretted. Sighing as she didn’t raise her head, Bruce removed his hand from her waist and used it to gingerly lift her head back up. ”I know what you mean by having to do what it takes to survive. Self-preservation is a mother f’er.” Bruce said before moving his hand back to her waist. For some reason he didn’t want to see her sad, it felt. . . wrong, in a way. Normally he wouldn’t care, but caring about someone he had just met was unusual. He cared that she was hungry and he wanted to do something about that.
He didn’t want to push the issue so she would get mad, but he didn’t want to see her hungry. ”Well I could give you enough blood to help you get some of your color and warmth back or to tide you over.” Bruce said, this was going to be his last time bringing it up and he wanted to do something.

Brookelle watched as he moved his hand from her waist to lift her head up. She looked into his eyes. He knew what she was talking about. Even werewolves had to deal with Survival. Survival of the Fittest. If that was how the world was going to go, then the Naturi would surely win. There was no stopping them. ”I know what you mean by having to do what it takes to survive. Self-preservation is a mother f’er.” She smiled at his comment. Self preservation did suck. She would be the first to say it. Having to either hide during the day, or have humans protect you, in your weakest times. Didn't usually work out well with majority of the vampires. Most of them had human guards. She did not. She didn't even hide either. Rock hard sleep was something she had to take in stride, any vampire did, there was nothing stopping that.
”Well I could give you enough blood to help you get some of your color and warmth back or to tide you over.” She sighed. He wasn't going to let this go. She shook her head, she didn't want to hurt him, she was going to stick by that as well. There was nothing that he could do about it. She didn't want to hurt him. She just met him, but it was different, he was different. "I'm fine," she stated. She was fine, for another day. Otherwise she would need the blood. She knew that she couldn't stay out all night either. She needed to get back to her apartment before sunrise, or before 5:30AM. She didn't even want to get caught outside, or near an open window at that time. She knew that some vampires were stronger at holding back the sleep, she wasn't. She probably would be over time, but she couldn't do it now.

Well at least you got her to smile, that's a good thing But the smile didn’t last long. "I'm fine," He really shouldn’t have pushed the issue that far, so he let it go. Not very many beings in this world were as beautiful and breathtaking as she was and he felt privileged to be talking with her, let alone dancing with her. Looking at the clock on the wall behind the bar, Bruce was surprised to see it was 0300hrs, or 3:00am to those that don’t use the 24 hour format. It was getting late and he didn’t know when she had to leave to be back to her coffin or where ever she slept. Suddenly a thought came to him as he remembered her walking in. ”Don’t you have any human guards?” He whispered. He knew some vampires would prey on unprotected and weakened vampires. It was sick to him, preying on your own kind for blood and food. There were plenty of non-vampires in this world that they could feed upon. But he wanted to make sure she got back to where ever she had to be safely, unless she had guards.

”Don’t you have any human guards?” Brookelle knew from this statement that he had been with a vampire before. Most likely Mira. Mira was the only known vampire to ever date a werewolf. Brookelle smiled. While she looked into his eyes. "I must be back by 5:30," she stated. That would give her extra time to be in her apartment without being near the sun. She didn't think the dying by the sun would be fun. You would probably just happen to not wake up. She smiled because he was whispering. Maybe he didn't want the other vampires to know the question. "No, I don't." she said lightly. She didn't want them. Seemed that if you took a human guard, you ruined their lives. Let alone you'd have to get a new one every time one died or even every time they grew old. you couldn't have old guards. They had to be young and strong. Or immortal. She had even heard of Naturi killing vampires in their sleep. Needless to say, she didn't want that happening to her, but if you brought human guards around with you, it was obvious that you were a vampire. Naturi could blow through humans easily. And control any werewolf.

"I must be back by 5:30. No, I don't." So now he knew what time she had to be back to wherever she slept during the day. ”If you would like, I can accompany you to your residence.” Bruce offered. There was no way he wanted her to leave alone. He didn’t know what would happen if she left alone and he didn’t want to take the chance if he could help it. Yet then again, he could be controlled by an Earth Naturi and he wouldn’t be able to stop any actions he might take and he didn’t want to do anything to her. He felt protective of her, even though they had just met. He felt something he had only felt once before and he had hoped to never feel it again. It was what made him chase after Mira and it was what helped him to propose those few short months ago.
He didn’t want to feel it cause he was sick and tired of getting hurt. He would rather stab himself repeatedly with a silver knife than feel the faintest hints of love again. Yet here he was feeling the beginnings of love again. What the hell is wrong with me?! I fall way too fast Bruce stifled the thought almost instantly. He didn’t care anymore, he didn’t want to be alone. Not anymore.
